Me getting my goals is a 2 part process. 1) Meditating and visualising and 2) working incredibly hard. Both go hand in hand, if you do one without the other, you will not (according to my experiencing) manifest it into reality. The reason is because simply meditating on something is wishing, which is not the same as visualising and working.
<>First, lots of people mistakenly focus just on their thoughts, all the while feeling like crap, and then get disappointed when they don’t seem to be making any progress. While thoughts are certainly an important part of the equation, we attract based on what we feel, and if we don’t feel good, all the affirmations and happy thoughts in the world won’t do jack unless we manage to build some momentum on the level of emotion.

<>Simply put, money is just a story that someone invented and that took hold. It was decided, that some particular shape of coin, or inlaid metallic object, and piece of paper was worth more than the material it represented. This started out as a thought in someone’s mind. That thought is now commonplace. We now expect that a piece of paper with a certain number on it, with a specific color and other identifying elements, is worth something more than the paper it’s printed on.

I have been obsessively working on a project / startup to use rock climbing and adventure to help at-risk kids in the slums of Brazil. What I found is that although I love what I am doing and believe in it completely, I have been stressed out of my mind and without realizing it, I have been manifesting this stress into all aspects of my life and sometimes into the energy of my campaign. Reading your blog I was reminded of how important it is to manifest not only what you want but also how you want to feel. That energy is so important and certainly dictates how people feel around you. I have been bringing my computer to bed and stressing out over emails until I fall asleep… NOT healthy. <>If you’re practicing these techniques with something simple, it’s time to take action and expect your results. If you’re using the system to find great parking, get in your car and drive to that parking spot with the full intention and expectation of finding it clear for you. Announce it out loud. “That parking spot is clear for me. I am parking in the spot that is open for me.” Again, we are fully aware that this seems really silly, but it’s a critical step.
<>Just in case I haven’t made my point clearly enough, the attraction process is all about how we feel, so it is really good to get into the feelings that lie behind our desires, as much as we can. Think about what sort of feelings you want in your relationship. Are you after a sense of ease in interacting with this person, without any drama? Do you want someone who shares your same passions and interests? Then, visualize yourself in these encounters.
<>Now, because we attract based on feeling, and not action, you wouldn’t actually have to do any of these things to start attracting more money, but most of us aren’t able to make such a giant leap in the face of financial issues. The limiting beliefs around money are just too strong, and will need to be worked on; you won’t be able to shift perspective immediately. Don’t worry, by making budgets and what have you, you are not sending a message to the good old universe that you don’t think you can get more money—these things will make you feel better, and the better you feel, the more easily money can come to you.

<>This is the time to pamper yourself, to prove how valuable you are and to take the time to do something special for yourself. Maybe you have always wanted to stay at a beachfront hotel, get a massage or a pedicure, learn a new language, rent a particular movie, or have a gourmet dinner served in your home. No matter how big or small, the time to fulfill your desires is now.
<>Abundance Checks. Every month, take a blank check and fill in your name, the amount, and all the other details. Sign it “The Universe,” “God,” “Source,” or any cosmic entity you prefer. Even “Your Fairy Godmother” works. Look at the check every day when you wake up and when you go to bed. Feel that you already have that money now. Imagine spending it. Really immerse yourself in how wonderful it is. Know that the money is already yours.

<>That was March 2006. It was the first time I had shared my vision with anyone. The words, and this dream, were now out there in the universe. Were they out attracting things for me? I don’t know. But I believe it was a watershed moment. Still, there was a long road – requiring plenty of action – to travel before it would all come together five years, three months, and seventeen days later.
