<>Now, because we attract based on feeling, and not action, you wouldn’t actually have to do any of these things to start attracting more money, but most of us aren’t able to make such a giant leap in the face of financial issues. The limiting beliefs around money are just too strong, and will need to be worked on; you won’t be able to shift perspective immediately. Don’t worry, by making budgets and what have you, you are not sending a message to the good old universe that you don’t think you can get more money—these things will make you feel better, and the better you feel, the more easily money can come to you.
<>I was in a ten year relationship with my child’s father, but he was a cheater. Eventually I started seeing other people years down the line, mind you our relationship was up and down. Long story short I became pregnant with another’s man baby, which was hurtful to the both of us. I still felt a sense of this happening wasn’t all my fault I feel like he played a role as well. I used to beg him to get our relationship back on track for about three years so finally I gave up because of continuous cheating. Well finally last year we I thought we were getting somewhere and boom came to find out the cheating never stopped, well I left again to begin a new relationship which didn’t work out either plus here’s another baby on the way. Finally the guy that I was with for ten years we started seeing each other again during my pregnancy, but the catch is he wants me to give up baby for adoption. We were broken up for seven months and really I feel my child isn’t his business. Nonetheless, for some odd reason I still love and want to be with him, but if he can’t accept the children, then I have to depart from him. How do me and the children attract him for a positive family oriented relationship?

<>Each "failed" relationship has given you clues about what you want in your ideal partner. The problem is, many women and men focus on the negative instead of the positive. For example, by saying that you don't want a man who "puts his work before the relationship," you are focusing on a man who puts work before love and that is the desire you are unconsciously sending out through your energy.
<>Don’t force yourself to do things that don’t feel good to you, if you really don’t want to do them. So, if you hate going to bars, don’t go every weekend. You want to act from a place of lightness and inspiration when you do act. You don’t want to act from a place of force or fear. There is never anything we must do to attract a certain thing into our life. If taking certain actions makes you feel good in the sense it nurtures a feeling that you will get find this relationship, then go for it. Just don’t get attached to the online dating, the blind dates, and the various outings that will put you in contact with the types of people you hope to meet. Have fun with it.

<>Thank you so much for such long reply! The more I’m working on myself with LOA, somehow the more my feelings are changing. Deep down, I know there will be more chances for me out there and therefore, I will meet the love of my life but my brain tells me that I shouldn’t have done that. Feels like my heart and my brain are in different places. Sometimes it’s quite the challenge. But I learned that I need to care for myself first and foremost!
<>No matter what comes up, don't shut any of it down because it seems silly, irrational or whatever... if it is coming up, it's relevant and a very real feeling and belief that must be addressed. Pay attention to any memories that float in your mind...even if they have nothing to do with romantic relationships, there is a similar thread energetically, and will help you uncover beliefs and feelings that are blocking you.
<>I’d had a dream for 10 years to move to Mexico when I retired. But all outward circumstances looked like it was out of the question. Loads of credit card debt, and I owned several homes that were “underwater” - their market value was less than what I owed on the mortgages. This was in the 2008–2009 timeframe, when the US housing market was at its worst in decades.
<>Your experience is a common one with manifesting, regardless of the desire. We do all this work, inner and outer, we don’t get the results we want, we get super-pissed, say f$ck it, and give up. Then usually some good stuff comes in from the positive momentum that has been built up, now that the massive resistance has diminished. Now, while doing a lot of stuff that makes us feel badly, or taking a lot of action for a long time without results, usually leads us to a point where we surrender, it is not the best approach to take because it isn’t necessary. It’s not something you want to consciously do. You don’t want to force yourself into surrender. You can take action if you feel compelled, but just make sure it feels good, and you don’t get attached to those channels as being the way that person must come to you.
<>A wish box is an interesting approach. I had done something similar years ago. I created a box, colored it pink and then put in it all the words and a picture of a person I wanted to meet. I put the box away and didn’t think about it much. About six months or so later, I met a guy that looked so similar to the one I wanted to meet, it was scary! A bell definitely went off.
<>Often times what you experience in others are perfect reflections of thy self, in some beautiful (and not so)  way. So it’s important to ask the questions — “What can I learn from this relationship about myself?  What here could even be symbolic about ME?”  Dealing with a bully doesn’t mean you ARE a bully — but might truly be a reflection of a fear you need to work at, (since bully’s are just small and fearful).  So be open to it.  If you experience it, you own it…somehow.
<>When you feel moved to take action from a place of passion and excitement, not stress, then go ahead and let those actions flow through you. It will seem to be more work to stop yourself — you’ll feel like you’re chickening out and holding back if you stay still. Follow your impulses. But don’t worry about the immediate results of those actions. There may be some twists and turns along the way.

<>Hi Geoff! Thank you for your reply. I do understand the chapter is about getting an ex back. However, what I meant to ask is whether the same rule applies if the person you want to manifest a relationship with is someone you haven’t previously dated. You see I talk to him everyday and he often tends to talk about the girl he is with or unknowingly tells me how I mean a lot to him but only as a friend. And every time that happens I just can’t stop negative thoughts of fear and doubt cropping up in my mind, thus making it difficult for me to let go. So I want to know if I should maintain some distance, perhaps talk less often. The only issue here is that there isn’t really any problem between us. He knows I love him and we kind of sorted it out a couple of months back and have continued to be best friends. I don’t quite have a reason to suddenly cut down on talking to him and I am sure if I do that he would want to know why.

<>The New Thought movement (Law of Attraction Origins) grew out of the teachings of Phineas Quimby in the early 19th century. Early in his life, Quimby was diagnosed with tuberculosis. Unfortunately, medicinal treatment wasn't working, so he began carriage riding through his hometown, Lebanon, New Hampshire. He then regained his health and recovered, an event that prompted his study of "mind over body".[10] Although he never used the words 'Law of Attraction', he explained this in a statement that captured the concept in the field of health:

<>But, once you start seeing your external experience is a mirror of what you feel and believe, you will make the amazing realization that changing your internal world will change what you bring into your life. If you don’t believe you have to settle or compromise, you won’t. If you believe you will find the right person, you will. If you know you don’t have to end up alone, you won’t. Sound too simplistic? Is the skeptical part of you being activated and resisting this? Are you thinking of all your experiences that have ‘proved’ your current set of beliefs, beyond a shadow of a doubt, and saying to yourself that I don’t know what the hell I am talking about? But, this is really all there is to it.Life is so much easier than we make it out to be.
<>This was the most powerful and loving piece of advice that my mother gave me when I was on the brink of going bankrupt in 2009. She told me to just be gentle on myself and take one day at a time. This helped tremendously to keep me focussed on my power in the present moment and not sabotage my vibration with overwhelm by thinking about the uncertainty of my financial future. <>Realize you will likely have smaller manifestations first that show you are lining up more with what you want, like noticing more people you find attractive, when before, you saw no one, meeting people that have desirable qualities that you note as being important in a partner, or seeing more people "like you" in happy relationships, whether they are overweight, divorced or whatever personal characteristic that you think makes finding love harder.
<>The real estate market seemed to turn worse every month. Half or more of the homes on the market were termed distressed properties - either foreclosures or short sales - where we tried to persuade the bank to take less than what’s owed on it, as a means of preventing them having to foreclose. An extremely difficult and laborious process, with very little cooperation on the part of the banks. Furthermore, the banks were cracking down on mortgage lending - meaning fewer people were able to qualify for mortgages.
<>Anyone who is stuck in indolence and debts can notice that he has come to this by a gradual and systematic refusal to do what he likes and what he believes in as a whole. That's why we must always do the things that truly fill us with joy, and for that, you don’t usually need much money. That's what is waiting for us here and now, what all our loved ones are waiting for. It always begins with what is available, here and now, from a small to an ever-increasing thing.
<>I’ve been dating my boyfriend for almost a year now and we live together. In the beginning of October things were bad, he forced me to move out thinking it would help things, which surprisingly it did. I thought this would only make things worse, I was constantly worried he would cheat on me, go behind my back, and betray me; like he has before. We were still together, just not living together. A week later after we spent some time talking and working through things, I moved back in. Ever since then over the few weeks things have been great, he’s treated me amazing, however I still have a fear of, “what if he is treating me like this but is potentially going behind my back?” A few days ago he had a missed call from a number with a area code of where his ex lives, I do not know if it was her, a telemarketer, or just a random wrong number. But it is has worried me over the past few days. I also worry when I’m at work and he’s at home, what he’s doing. I try so hard to imagine us happy and trying to believe in everything he says to me is true and sincere. I just have major trust issues. I care for him an immense amount and would do anything for him, I love him very much. However, I do believe that I would be okay with out him.. eventually in time. I do not want this to happen, but you said you have to imagine yourself being able to let go of that person. He is for sure the person I want to spend the rest of my life with, and I never want to lose him. What I am confused about is, if I am using the Law of Attraction to attract him more into my life, what if he is using the Law of Attraction to attract a different person in his life, such as his ex, instead of me. Which situation with manifest? He is not the type of person to ever think about these, he doesn’t even know what the Law of Attraction is, but I believe he could subconsciously be doing this and not even knowing it. Again, I think way too in depth about things and sometimes just make it worse for myself.
<>Most people’s biggest challenge is being very clear and specific about what they want in their life, so they are sending out a different message to the universe... The first step is to create some "peace of mind" become quiet and get very clear on what you want in your life. Once you are "present" and relaxed, you are ready to take the next step...
<>But, after seeing The Secret in 2006, I started digging deeper in how to practice creating my reality with my mind. I started attending the School of Metaphysics, which is an excellent course of study in the powers of mind. Armed with some level of knowledge of the LoA, and what I’d learned and practiced at the School, I decided to facilitate a Law of Attraction book study group - where we studied and practiced exercises around Wallace Wattles’ Science of Getting Rich, and Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich. It was halfway through our fourth day of a five day safari and I thought it was time to turn to the universe for a little help: “Wouldn’t it be nice to have a great sighting of this magnificent creature in the wild jungle of India?” I felt at that point that it was completely out of my control and so I let go and just appreciated my surroundings. As we were sitting in the jeep surrounded by tall grass I turned to my husband and carelessly said “this would be a perfect place for a tiger to come walking out of the grass”. Five minutes later we heard the alarm call of a spotted deer followed by the growl of a tiger which reverberated throughout our bodies. Our guide shot out of his seat with utter excitement and we held our breath. At the exact spot I had uttered those words a tiger came prowling through the tall grass without a care in the world. I turned to my husband and said “happy birthday darling”. I love having universal forces on my side!”

<>I recently purchased your book and started applying the loa to my relationship. I have been seeing this guy for about 2 months now but we’ve known each other since we were kids…In the beginning he was really into me and passionate, he always found some way to touch me..but a couple of weeks ago all of his affection has stopped and I found out that he still talks to his ex but for court related issues that will be going on until January. Now he seems almost scared to get close to me as if she has threatened him, but I see him everyday and we still kiss goodnight sometimes. <>When you meditate, that is your time it just sit in a quiet space and allow yourself to just chill and just be. It is not a time to think or to focus on what you want, but is instead the time you want to quiet your mind. You want to take just 10–15 minutes to sit in a quiet space and to just focus on one specific thing, for as long as you can during that time. It could be a mantra you repeat in your head, or a sound, like a ticking clock, or the sound of a fan. Something that is constant and repetitive, and easy to focus on. Because, when you stop thought and just focus on the one thing a few things begin to happen.

<>Emily has a competitive side, so I played to that by challenging her to find more coins than me, which boosted her motivation and desire to get good at it. <>The best way to meditate for your goals is to first quiet your mind and body. Then project yourself to your desired future. Watch yourself in the future, experiencing the results you want. Make sure to embody all the feelings and emotions as you can. Make all the images as bright as you can. You subconscious mind can’t tell the difference from real or imagined, so it will believe it’s real. That is how to impress your subconscious with what you want. Then it will automatically guide you to that result. Manifestation first begins with your subconscious mind. This is truth. Believe it and see it, first starts with this concept. Then watch your vibration everyday, do not allow lower vibrations to suck you out if your dreams.

<>I’ve been studying LoA for a few years now and have read countless books on the matter. To me, Napoleon Hill’s book was by far the best because it wasn’t just full of platitudes, it actually gave me some actionable items and did tell me that a certain amount of work was involved. This was important to me because I have a core belief (right or wrong) that you can’t get something for nothing. With that said, even with all the research I have done, and the belief that LoA exists, I have yet to experience any positive outcomes from using any of the techniques. Doing yet more research, I have come to the conclusion that there are two things that I am doing wrong, or more concisely, unable to achieve. The first being that I can not seem to attach a feeling to a desire. Try as I may, there remains some disconnect somewhere. Second, I have a lot of negative self talk and some negative core beliefs (both of which I am working to change… more research). I believe that these two things sabotage any attempt by me to manifest things. As I am practicing LoA, the little voice in my head (my Ego) will tell me that I am being foolish, or that “this doesn’t work”, etc. I tell it to shut up but it never does and introduces doubt every time. This actually brings up a third problem. Unwavering faith. You mentioned faith to get you back on track. Where do you find this? How do you develop it? Do you have any suggestions on any of these issues? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
<>Great book. The techniques are very helpful. Like a lot of LOA books there's a lot of material. I've personally seen my finances grow after reading this book and I currently have much more in the bank than I had before I started the techniques. I honestly haven't done all the techniques like I want to and my finances have still grown. I'm looking forward to incorporating more techniques in my life and seeing my finances grow further.
<>“I don’t see it manifesting” is where you’re going wrong. You’re focusing on what you see around you. Stop looking at your reality like it is and start seeing it how you want to be. So long as you focus on your reality, your thoughts are filled with your current reality, and that’s what you are creating – more evidence of not being with him. Simply put, you are not at one with your desire. You have to change your thoughts. You need to be able to relax and let go. You need to make sure you aren’t obsessing over things and trying to control the situation. You need to focus on raising your vibrational energy and doing things that make you feel joyful.
