<>I’ve been studying LoA for a few years now and have read countless books on the matter. To me, Napoleon Hill’s book was by far the best because it wasn’t just full of platitudes, it actually gave me some actionable items and did tell me that a certain amount of work was involved. This was important to me because I have a core belief (right or wrong) that you can’t get something for nothing. With that said, even with all the research I have done, and the belief that LoA exists, I have yet to experience any positive outcomes from using any of the techniques. Doing yet more research, I have come to the conclusion that there are two things that I am doing wrong, or more concisely, unable to achieve. The first being that I can not seem to attach a feeling to a desire. Try as I may, there remains some disconnect somewhere. Second, I have a lot of negative self talk and some negative core beliefs (both of which I am working to change… more research). I believe that these two things sabotage any attempt by me to manifest things. As I am practicing LoA, the little voice in my head (my Ego) will tell me that I am being foolish, or that “this doesn’t work”, etc. I tell it to shut up but it never does and introduces doubt every time. This actually brings up a third problem. Unwavering faith. You mentioned faith to get you back on track. Where do you find this? How do you develop it? Do you have any suggestions on any of these issues? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
<>2) Visualising and meditating is pointless without work. Mark Cuban says a famous quote which is: "Work like there is someone working 24 hours a day to take it away from you". Me getting my goals is a 2 part process. 1) Meditating and visualising and 2) working incredibly hard. Both go hand in hand, if you do one without the other, you will not (according to my experiencing) manifest it into reality. The reason is because simply meditating on something is wishing, which is not the same as visualising and working.
<>When you feel moved to take action from a place of passion and excitement, not stress, then go ahead and let those actions flow through you. It will seem to be more work to stop yourself — you’ll feel like you’re chickening out and holding back if you stay still. Follow your impulses. But don’t worry about the immediate results of those actions. There may be some twists and turns along the way.
<>I worked with a professional footballer once. He was getting very nervous about shooting goals. He kept missing even though he was very talented. I insisted that he kept watching himself on TV scoring goals and burned that image into his consciousness. I didn’t want him thinking about anything else. Every time he had a negative thought he was to switch that picture, either on the TV or on the TV in his mind. And he was to surround the thought with positive emotions of love and respect for himself.
<>“I am enjoying a wonderful relationship with a man who may quite possibly be ‘the one’ – and that’s after being single for 13 years. Certainly a big factor was due to regular use of your techniques and your romantic love workshop. I got myself into a position of not needing anyone yet at the same time anticipating the excitement of love – which I learnt was key – and this was accomplished through your teachings. I got on with my life and spent time on my interests and my career and with friends, whilst using your ideas to increase my expectation of love. Yes, there were some times of feeling lonely or doubtful, but I kept on going, supported by the success stories and others at your group, until I met him a through a ‘random’ invite and it’s been lovely ever since.”
<>I’ve been dating my boyfriend for almost a year now and we live together. In the beginning of October things were bad, he forced me to move out thinking it would help things, which surprisingly it did. I thought this would only make things worse, I was constantly worried he would cheat on me, go behind my back, and betray me; like he has before. We were still together, just not living together. A week later after we spent some time talking and working through things, I moved back in. Ever since then over the few weeks things have been great, he’s treated me amazing, however I still have a fear of, “what if he is treating me like this but is potentially going behind my back?” A few days ago he had a missed call from a number with a area code of where his ex lives, I do not know if it was her, a telemarketer, or just a random wrong number. But it is has worried me over the past few days. I also worry when I’m at work and he’s at home, what he’s doing. I try so hard to imagine us happy and trying to believe in everything he says to me is true and sincere. I just have major trust issues. I care for him an immense amount and would do anything for him, I love him very much. However, I do believe that I would be okay with out him.. eventually in time. I do not want this to happen, but you said you have to imagine yourself being able to let go of that person. He is for sure the person I want to spend the rest of my life with, and I never want to lose him. What I am confused about is, if I am using the Law of Attraction to attract him more into my life, what if he is using the Law of Attraction to attract a different person in his life, such as his ex, instead of me. Which situation with manifest? He is not the type of person to ever think about these, he doesn’t even know what the Law of Attraction is, but I believe he could subconsciously be doing this and not even knowing it. Again, I think way too in depth about things and sometimes just make it worse for myself.
<>I’d had a dream for 10 years to move to Mexico when I retired. But all outward circumstances looked like it was out of the question. Loads of credit card debt, and I owned several homes that were “underwater” - their market value was less than what I owed on the mortgages. This was in the 2008–2009 timeframe, when the US housing market was at its worst in decades.
<>“I had got to the point when I thought all of this Law of Attraction stuff was rubbish, nothing good was manifesting… And then I discovered your work about three years ago- and I keep coming back to it. I have ‘streamlined’ most of my self-help books- because I just don’t need them anymore- your work has summarised the best of everything I ever read. I feel a lot more confident and freer about myself since doing the practices- friends have commented on how much more attractive I look and I feel like I’m living the life I always dreamed of living in my twenties now; twenty years later. More travel, more fun, feeling happy to be alive- it’s like a new life. I also would call myself a confident person now whereas before I was shy- for thirty years. I had resigned myself that this couldn’t change as it seemed so much a part of me- but it did change. What I love about your techniques is they put you into the position to attract whatever you need, so some ‘confidence building’ opportunities came after I had done a Universe List. Anyway- lots to share. See you at the group sometime.”
<>Just wanted to make a comment about all of this. It really will work for everyone but it has to be something that is in your gut you know you will get with no doubts. I have received everything I want or don’t want because I new it in my gut. it was all unintentional before any of this kind of talk of the law of attraction came about. I think back on my life and all my intentions have manifested just the way I imagined they would. I only wished I had focused on all positive and threw out the negative. So the things you don’t want you have to change the way you feel about it and the way you think about it. I am looking into hypnosis to remove the things that are negative. Install the things I want into my subconscious. This is idea I have heard about and understand how it can help people who have a problem understanding and changing their thought process. You have to really, really want it and believe you will have it and feel good about and feel good about life and appreciate all that you have. Get excited!!!! I love the quotes in “The Secret”” take the first steps you don’t have to see the whole staircase just take the first step” mlking
<>As with all Law of Attraction work, trying to manifest love requires you look at the underlying assumption that holds you back. In this case, limiting beliefs that might block you from finding love. Try to write them down first. Then identify where they came from. Most importantly, write down a contradictory belief that you can then turn into a daily affirmation. Here is an article to get you started with three tips for creating powerful affirmations.
